Pete Davidson makes a new move to clear his ‘looser’ image

Pete Davidson has decided to take a step back from the spotlight.

In a recent interview with W Magzine, the Saturday Night Live alum revealed his decision to go private after the intense media attention that nearly “destroyed” his life.

“I just want to be known for doing good work,” he confessed. “I want to be out there only when it’s movie, stand-up, charity, or business ventures. That’s when I want to be seen.”

Due to his high-profile relationships with celebrities like Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, and Madelyn Cline, the comedian and actor has opened up about the toll that constant media scrutiny has taken on him.

“I don’t want to be this fucking loser who just dates people,” he said, adding, “That’s not who I am. But people hate celebrities now.”

In addition to addressing the public fixation on his high-profile relationship, Davidson, 31, criticised the media for amplifying negativity.

“The media takes a handful of celebs every couple of years, and they just destroy them. For some reason, I’m one of the people they chose to go after,” he stated.

Despite the challenges, Davidson sees a silver lining: It allows him to “take a step back and evaluate things.”

Now, the Bupkis star says he’s in a much better place.

“I’m very happy where I am right now, mentally,” he shared, describing his journey as being “hit on the face with the Hollywood shovel” but ultimately finding clarity.
