Actor Salman Khan hit pause on his Bigg Boss 18 shoot on October 12, 2024, after hearing about the shocking death of his close friend, Baba Siddiqui. The popular Mumbai politician was tragically shot near his son Zeeshan’s office, sending ripples of disbelief through both the political and entertainment worlds.

As investigations unfold, and while fans and celebrities mourn this loss, Salman’s decision to put everything on hold to be with his friend’s family speaks volumes about their deep connection.

Salman Khan rushed to Lilavati Hospital

The moment Salman got the news of the tragedy, he stopped everything and rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra, where Baba was taken. Sadly, despite all efforts, Baba Siddique passed away. Salman, along with other Bollywood bigwigs like Sanjay Dutt, was spotted at the hospital, offering support to the grieving family.

Three assassins shot and killed the top NCP leader in Mumbai on Dussehra, October 12. The authorities are looking into several possible motives for Baba Siddique’s death, including contract killing and rivalry. According to an NDTV report, the two gunmen apprehended in the case have confirmed their involvement with the gang of Lawrence Bishnoi. While two suspects have already been arrested, one is still on the loose, and the motive behind this assassination remains a mystery.

About Baba Siddique

Baba Siddique, known for his larger-than-life presence in both politics and Bollywood circles, was attacked by unknown shooters who fired three bullets at him. The news spread like wildfire, leaving everyone stunned. Siddiqui wasn’t just another politician—he was the man who famously brought Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan together at his iconic iftaar parties after years of rivalry.

This cold war ultimately came to an end on April 17, 2013, during Siddique’s annual iftar party. Siddique intentionally put Shah Rukh Khan close to Salman’s father, Salim Khan, to ensure the two stars met face to face. The moment Shah Rukh and Salman greeted and hugged each other was captured in a photo that soon went viral, signalling the end of their long-running feud.

Baba Siddique’s sudden death has left an undeniable void in both the political and Bollywood world.
