Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday transferred Rs 1,572 crore as the 19th instalment into the accounts of 1.28 crore beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Yojana.
According to an official release, the state government started two programmes on December 11 as it completes one year. Launched on the auspicious occasion of Gita Jayanti, these include the ‘Jan Kalyan Parv’, which will run from December 11-26 as well as the ‘Mukhya Mantri Jan Kalyan Abhiyan’, slated from December 11 till January 26, 2025.
Ladli Behna Yojana
Introduced in June 2023, the Ladli Behna Yojana is a flagship scheme of the Madhya Pradesh government that is aimed at making women more financially independent and improving the health and nutritional status of their dependent children through monetary benefits.
As part of this scheme, women are provided Rs 15,000 per year, on a monthly instalment of Rs 1,250. This amount is credited directly to the Aadhar-linked Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)-enabled bank account of the beneficiaries.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply under the Ladli Behna Yojana scheme, women should be residents of the state of Madhya Pradesh.
The beneficiaries are required to complete the age of 21 years as of January 1 of the calendar year of application and should be under 60 years of age.
To avail of several benefits of this scheme, women should be married, while it also includes those who are divorced, widows and abandoned women.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to check the status of the amount received in your banks:
- Step 1: Open the official website of Ladli Behna Yojana atcmladlibahna.mp.gov.in.
- Step 2: On the homepage of the website, click on the “Application & Payment Status” option.
- Step 3: Once a new page opens, provide your application number or the member’s overall number.
- Step 4: Enter the captcha code and then you will get an OTP on your mobile number.
- Step 5: Enter the OTP that you have received on your linked mobile number and verify the same.
- Step 6: After completing the verification process, select the “Search” option to check your payment status.
